About the Creators
Davilla & Davilla
One of our creators (Dee) brings a legacy of teaching excellence with an M.Ed. in Supervision and a B.S. in Elementary Education. Her 31 years of teaching experience spanning grades 2 – 6 has allowed her to develop a deep understanding of curriculum design and the unique learning needs of all children. She is also a watercolor artist/instructor and a CZT® (Certified Zentangle Instructor). Combining these two backgrounds adds a unique dimension to our storytelling experiences and creative activities.
Complementing this extensive teaching experience is the expertise of our other creator (Elise), who holds a Ph.D. in Learning Design and Technology, an M.Ed. in Educational Technology, and an M.S. and a B.S. in Biology. As a former middle school science teacher, she brings a modern perspective to the intersection of education and technology. The driving force behind the formation of this company stems from her deep-seated love of science, nurtured during her middle school life science class as a child. Her passion for the world of books is mainly through cherished stories like the “Magic School Bus” series and Graeme Base's “Animalia.”
